One of my favorite jobs as community manager is hosting our monthly IBM Collaboration Solutions (ICS) community meeting. Each month, clients, partners, and IBMers meet to talk about topics that are relevant to the community -- collaboration and social business. If you haven't made it to one of our calls, I encourage you to join us. We meet the 4th Tuesday of the month, and if you are a member of the IBM Collaboration Solutions Community you'll receive a personal invitation. Community members Eileen Fitzgerald (GSX) and Colleen Walker (IBM) introduced themselves and shared how and why they participate in the community. Then Leah Backus and Don Harbison gave a great update on the latest version of IBM Lotus Symphony while also sharing the latest open source news about IBM donating Symphony code to Apache.
I covered a host of community news highlights, which I've summarized below with some links. Colleen Burns also shared plans to use social media to help drive community information sharing and interaction. Be sure to join us next month when our theme will be mobile technology! Stay tuned to this blog for meeting details!
