While I use Twitter some, I use Google+ much more. A big part of the reeason is the ability to engage in conversations, and the ability of people both posting and commenting to flesh out a point or discuss a position. Twitter is better for getting people to go somewhere else, but worse for people who stay put. Google+ is not so good at getting people to go elsewhere, but very good at allowing deeper engagement with those who stay put.

Perhaps I need to use Twitter more to get people to a Google+ post, though by the time I am doing that, I sometimes blog instead. The one thing neither Twitter nor Google+ has is a good way to "pin" a message like you do on a blog. Everything flows past.
