Get Social Roadshows in the UK
On Tuesday, I will be attending my first Social Business event (in my new role as one of the marketing leads for the programme in the UK) – the Edinburgh leg of the Get Social Roadshows, and then attending the London leg on Thursday. These half day events will feature speakers from a variety of industries who will explore how their adoption of social business has yielded surprising benefits for the way they communicate and work.
The roadshows will give our customers the chance to talk to some of our experts one-on-one, attend sessions on a variety of topics, and network with their peers – discussing the challenges that are faced when becoming a Social Business, but also the benefits that can be realised.
The Edinburgh session includes a keynote by Jon Mell, our leader for Social Software in Europe, on the Social Agenda Story, a customer session from Perceptive Informatics on The Power of Social Software in Developing Your Social Business, and a further customer session from RBS on Business Transformation Using Social Business.
The London session follows a similar format, but it will be Matt Collins – VP for Marketing for IBM Social Business Solutions, giving the keynote session on the Social Agenda Story. Again customers will also be speaking, including a session from Cluttons on Taking Your Social Business to the Cloud, and repeats of the sessions from RBS and Perceptive Informatics that will have been given in Edinburgh.
I recently heard some interesting stats from our VP of Sales for IBM Social Business and Collaboration Solutions – Sandy Carter – such as IBM being named by IDC as #1 in WW Social Platforms for the 3rd consecutive year and more than a third of the Fortune 100 use IBM Social Business Software. I am sure I will hear more of these great proof points during the two sessions I am attending, and will share these with you after the events.
I will also be posting photos and comments on our Facebook page.
