So I haven't been to the IBM Connect conference in years, and I decided with a Notes and Domino upgrade from 7.x to 8.5 underway there might be something to be gained by trying to get approval again this year. However, looking over the list of sessions, I am finding it hard to come up with a list of 3 things I can use to justify the spend. In past years, I found myself struggling to figure out which session to go to, but this year I see NOTHING in the preliminary lineup that I can use to build my justification to attend.
It doesn't help when you use titles like: "Avoid Being a Social ZOMBIEin a Global World", "Talking “SMAC” in 2014: What You Need to Know", "Smarter Workforce MYTHBUSTERS" & "Time to Level Up! GAMIFIED Talent Management" it doesn't help me to defend that business relevant material is being presented.

The few that do sound relevent to a non-mobile, non-social business, non sametime using, non cloud adopting, non-xpages, non workforce struggling to defend IBM Domino and Notes on a daily basis are presented by vendors, presumably selling their wares. I can't get approval for a 3K conference, how am I going to look coming back with a laundry list of MORE SOFTWARE for the aging Notes\Domino environment which is so popular to hate?
