Announcing release of Rational Rhapsody 8.0 and Rhapsody Design Manager 4.0

Announcing IBM Rational Engineering Lifecycle Manager
Rational is very proud and excited to announce a new, unique, breakthrough product, IBM Rational Engineering Lifecycle Manager (RELM). RELM can help engineering teams to visualize, analyze and organize engineering data (such as requirements, designs, tests, and work items) and their relationships (links). It is designed to help engineering teams make effective and timely decisions, improve reuse of engineering data and maintain compliance with standards. RELM builds a near real-time index of the data and relationships from source tools including Rational DOORS, Rational Rhapsody with Design Manager, Rational Team Concert and Rational Quality Manager.
Our business partner and RELM beta program participant, 321 Gang, describes RELM as “the first tool of its kind. RELM fills a large gap to help manage complexity in fast-paced, multi-team, multi-disciplined complex systems development.”
During its initial release, only direct Rational sellers can quote and deliver RELM, subject to a formal approval framework. Other sellers, including Rational Business Partners, should refer opportunities to the Rational brand seller responsible for the account or to the RELM product manager, Ben Williams (firstname.lastname@example.org).
