IBM is bringing to market a set of innovative new offerings that will energize the enterprise systems conversation. This month, Rational is participating in the following STG-led launches:
On October 3, IBM unveiled a refreshed Smarter Computing perspective, together with enhancements across our enterprise systems portfolio. Smarter Computing gives IBM a way to turn up the volume about the value of enterprise systems, at a time when our competitors -- especially HP and Oracle -- have completely abandoned that discussion. Clients want systems that are cloud ready, data ready, and security ready, and this unique perspective re-frames our portfolio, and the larger IT discussion, around these concepts.
On October 9, IBM introduced the newest member of its groundbreaking PureSystems family, IBM PureData System, designed to help clients meet data challenges with simplicity, speed and lower cost. PureData is pre-integrated and optimized exclusively for delivering data services for transactions and analytics. As IDC stated in their recent whitepaper, IBM PureSystems Cut Costs and Increase Agility by Simplifying the IT Life Cycle, PureSystems is "raising the bar in terms of how systems and systems vendors will be required to address the needs of the full IT life cycle."
