Today's post is by Brian Loveys, product manager for IBM Cognos Mobile.
What connects Cannondale, Costco, IBM Cognos® Business Intelligence and BlackBerry?
You have an opportunity to find out in our TechTalk live event called Erase the Barriers between Mobile Workers and BI Data. In this event, you will hear how one company has benefited from having reports delivered to their mobile devices by IBM Cognos Mobile and learn more about how Cognos Mobile can work for you.
Before you join us on June 21st at noon ET, here are three things you can do to prepare:
1. Think about how reliant you are on mobile devices. Consider the possibilities that are open to you when you and your colleagues can access critical reports on iPads, iPhones and BlackBerry® and Android smart phones and tablets while meeting with customers. Instead of saying, “I can get you that information when I’m back at my desk or office,” you can say, “I have the sales figures you need right here.” Then, be prepared to hear how Dorel, the parent company of such brands as Cannondale and Costco, is already doing this and how well it’s working for them.
2. Check out this IBM Cognos Mobile demo. It shows you how easy it can be to get targeted, interactive and personalized information you can share with your clients on the go so you all can make informed decisions. You can access the reports you need straight from your Apple iPhone or iPad, Android or Blackberry smart phone or tablet, Windows Mobile device or Nokia Symbian device. The Android and Playbook support is new and we will cover that in the event.
3.Register for the TechTalk event here. You don’t want to miss the opportunity to see what can happen to decision-making in your organization when timely, relevant BI data is as available in an airport or hotel as it is in the office.
4. Check back here afterwards. Yes, we said “three ways to prepare,” so why are there four? Because we want you to come back and visit us after the event. We will be taking questions from attendees and addressing their answers in a series of posts here on the Performance Perspectives blog. You won’t want to miss our answers to questions from your peers in the business world.
Please join us for this exciting event. If you have any questions or need more information, you can email me here.
