Openbravo (www.openbravo.com) ERP and POS are leading open source packages, among the top ten downloads on sourceforge.net. Originally supporting Oracle and PostgreSQL, Openbravo decided to move to DB2 for its autonomics and ease of use, critical features for packages geared towards clients that may have no IT department. This session will begin with a short architectural overview, followed by a review of the steps involved in the Oracle-to-DB2 move. Attendees will see that moving the two million lines of code was simple, methodical and fast.
