System X has been a real performer for IBM over the past year. Times have been tough for the industry, without question, but our products have held up well. I think part of this success is due to an evolving philosophy from Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) to Return on Investment (ROI). To really improve ROI for companies using System X and Bladecenter, we have been encouraging customers to "swap-to-grow". Last November, the Robert Frances Group released a white paper describing the cost/benefits of this philosophy. Coupling our innovative products with excellent financing makes the decision to go with System X easy and wise. These two factors will continue to propel us forward over the coming quarters.
Of course so will our upcoming innovative new products...but more on those later.
