2010 has been an outstanding year for the Global Tivoli User Community with over 4,000 clients/ business partners attending 206 user group meetings around the world! Never before has our user community been so strong with over 25,000 on-line members and 3,500 of those members creating public profiles for greater online networking.

Richard is a member of the Australian IBM Tivoli User Group - Melbourne and his Tivoli interests are: Datacenter Management Tools, IT for Growing Business, Network Service Assurance and Event Managment along with Security and Storage. The dedication and support of these people who volunteer their time and energy for ultimately the greater good of the product they work with on a daily basis is incredible.
Have you ever talked to or watch a leader facilitate a user group meeting? They do it all: organize agendas, communicate to the members, attain speakers, answer questions, motivate the membership/keep the drum beat going, prepare the meeting rooms, do the post meeting activities, and so much more. So much of these tasks could not be done without their drive and passion.

As the Global Tivoli User Community manager I'd like to know if you plan on producing a video. With only a handful of submissions right now you have a greater chance of winning an iPad, iTouch, iPad Nano and other great prizes.
Being physically teleported from your office to a meeting or another location is not yet possible in our world as our friends through the American movie "Star Trek", have been able to do for years; however, the next best thing would be to have a meeting "beemed up to you" virtually.
We are all busy and traveling to a local meeting can be time consuming. My experience is that virtual meetings saves time, is structured, simple and yet it can be the best 60-90 minutes of your day. One of the greatest assets we have is the knowledgewe gain through the various tools and resources to us. One of those resources is the Global Tivoli User Community. If you are looking to get information, connect with others and make your views be heard then why don't you join a virtual user group. These groups, some of which are brand new, meet periodically through out the year via a conference call and the web to gain knowledge and exchange information.
