How has smarter software made your business better? We want to hear from you!
If you are an IBM Software customer or Business Partner and attending Impact, we invite you to participate in a casual video interview to share your business and IT challenges, including how smarter software helps you solve those challenges. Your footage will be placed in a video that helps us tell the IBM Software story from the perspective of those who matter most: our customers. Candidates must have the support and approval of their company, and be available for taping at Impact 2010 on Wednesday, May 5th.
There's nothing to prepare for upfront and there are no "wrong" responses. Here is a sample of similar video production.
Please contact Lindy Dukes at firstname.lastname@example.org to sign-up for this opportunity and be sure to visit the Client References Lounge at Impact! We look forward to hearing from you!

Last February, we introduced Integrated Service Management at Pulse 2010 to an audience of 5500 from 66 countries worldwide to demonstrate how a dynamic infrastructure can provide the Visibility, Control and Automation businesses need to deliver innovative services and better serve customers on a Smarter Planet. Now we are bringing Integrated Service Management around the world with Pulse Comes to You (PCTY) 2010 local events.
But what is Integrated Service Management?
Integrated Service Management enables organizations to deliver innovative services by providing Visibility. Control. and Automation.™ across their business. It provides the software, best practices and expertise to manage infrastructure, people and processes in the data center, across design and delivery, and tailored for specific industry requirements. At PCTY 2010, IBM Executives and Industry Leaders will share how Integrated Service Management can help IT, Line of Business, and C-level audiences deliver quality services, manage risk and compliance, optimize business investments and accelerate business growth. More will be announced as commitments are finalized. For additional dates already scheduled, check the Pulse Comes to You (PCTY) 2010 website.

When I first heard someone say, “40 is the new 20!” I figured that person was the "YAY! My glass is half full!" sort of who didn’t care to see 20 again perhaps because they became a little bit smarter over the years.
If Earth Day was a real person, would it be sulking in a corner, scowling, "GET AWAY!" when Arbor Day and Valentines Day bopped in with black balloons a giant shiny "OVER THE HILL
Or would it be all, "WOO-HOO! Whose taking me out for a spring water cocktail after work?" (No. Earth Day does not do Jager-bombs. I don’t even want to think about how many kinds of wrong that would be . . .)
From a personal perspective (which I do not technically qualify to have since I have not yet gone over the hill reached 40 years), I would wager that Earth Day would be having more than one of those spring water cocktails during happy hour today. True, a famous friend of ours is trying to convince the world that MORE NEEDS TO BE DONE YESTERDAY BECAUSE MIAMI AND NEW YORK AND SOME OTHER AWESOME PLACES NOT IN THE US ARE GOING TO GET WASTED BY A GLACIER TIDAL WAVE BEFORE YOU CAN SAY WIPEOUT. The jury is still out on that and the Mayan 2012 theory.
However, like our famous friend, most SANE people agree that the need for smarter use of resources is indisputable. Except for the dude who is still topping off his 4 mile-to-the-gallon 1981 SUV Dinosaur-mobile after litter-bugging plastic water bottles out of his window (I call that Messing With Texas no matter where you do it.) He probably also denies that dinosaurs ever existed or that they all got dead because they ate themselves out of house and home. Or maybe it was a dinosaur-hating meteor passing by who was like, "POW! Take that, giant lizards!"
But getting pwned by a meteor is a digression from the point of this post and leaves no room for behavior modification. I may be a “YAY! The glass is half full” person but I do believe Earth Day prefers 2010 over 1990 because the planet is getting smarter. Look here: the proof is in the code.
Here at IBM, we are all for behavior modification for a Smarter Planet. Come see us at your local Pulse Comes to You event to learn more about building a smarter planet with IBM Software.
Happy Birthday Earth Day! IBM's got your back.

Integrated Service Management is helping businesses prepare for changes that are impacting the organization. Smart SOA makes business processes easy to change, but those changes put demands on the infrastructure. Because a Dynamic Infrastructure is adaptive, it can support those business processes. Integrated Service Management anticipates how business processes shift their pressures on the infrastructure, enabling the infrastructure to adapt quickly, and making the changing world a smarter world. And that is why Integrated Service Management willbe in attendance at Impact 2010, May 2 - 7, 2010 in Las Vegas, NV.
One of the Integrated Service Management highlights includes a Day 3 keynote from IBM Fellow, David Lindquist, Cloud Computing Models Including Components from Shared Middleware & ISM.
What is Integrated Service Management?
Don't forget, you can request 1:1 meetings with IBM executives and technical experts.
