are a set of development opportunities for Business Partners who implement software solutions. These development opportunities include:
Training: Via a virtual learning or classroom environment, experts guide you through practical, applied learning experiences, sharing IBM’s institutional knowledge of software implementations
- Mentoring: Gain practical, hands-on experience alongside IBM Lab Services during either IBM-led or Business Partner-led implementations
- Coaching: Access on-demand, off-premise expertise and guidance from IBM Lab Services to support successful project delivery
- Accreditation: Earn IBM Software Practice Accreditation at the bronze, silver, or gold level by demonstrating skills and successful implementations
IBM Software Practice Accelerators are well-suited to Business Partners interested in selling software as part of a services business, or who wish to move into adjacent solution areas. The accelerators provide the skills you need to deliver integrated business solutions, and at the same time reduce the risk and cost of ramping up on a new offering by providing access to IBM experts who can consult on your implemenations. IBM Software Practice Accreditation status also provides an outward sign to your clients that you have the skills to deliver a successful project. Ultimately, this is an opportunity to increase services revenue and drive more successful client engagements.
Currently, the IBM Software Practice Accelerators are available for 29 products and solution areas across the IBM Software portfolio, with more to come in 2013 and beyond. Business Partners who are currently IBM Tivoli or Security Systems Deployment Accredited will remain under the existing model temporarily and be transitioned to this new model in 2014.
