When you want to find something on PartnerWorld, how do you find it quickly? Admittedly, sometimes it can be a challenge. We're working to make that easier, though, and now, you have two new ways to do it with the IBM Software Business Partner Widget
. (Well...one new
and one enhanced
, but who's counting?)
For the first time, you can get the latest PartnerWorld sales, marketing, technical and training content in real-time on your mobile
device. From a mobile-optimized URL, the IBM Software Business Partner Mobile Widget delivers all of
the same information that's available via the traditional desktop widget. This page can be accessed from any smart
phone, regardless of operating system. You'll need to register to access it (instructions below), but otherwise, all you need to do is bookmark the URL on your smartphone, http://ibmsoftwarebps.com
-- no need to download an app.
The desktop version of the IBM Software Business
Partner Widget, which has been around for a while now, has also been upgraded to help you quickly drill down to
the information you need. The widget now features the enhanced ability to:
- Filter content by IBM brand, industry or geography, to receive only content that is relevant to your business.
- Set preferences only once for both versions, so when you
change your settings on the desktop version of widget, it automatically
updates the mobile version, and vice versa.
- Support local languages, including French,
Spanish, German, Italian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Portuguese and
The mobile version also shares the same great features. So...how do you set up these new IBM Software Business Partner Widgets, you ask?
If you already have the desktop widget installed on your computer, you'll automatically be prompted to download the update next time you access it -- if not, you'll need to download the desktop widget from PartnerWorld
and install it. The first time you open the latest desktop version, whether through initial install or upgrade, you'll be asked to register and set your preferences. As part of the setup process, you'll also be asked if you would like to register for the mobile widget. If you accept, you'll receive an email with a temporary password. Once you log in at http://ibmsoftwarebps.com
, you'll set your permanent password, and you're good to go.
