This week's IBM Impact 2010 conference got off to a rousing start with Business Partner Summit Day on Sunday May 2nd. We thank all our Business Partners who attended the conference, and those who were not able to join us in Las Vegas last week. This year 600 Business Partners (BP) registered for the BP Summit - exceeding all past Summit registrations to date! According to IBM Vice President - WW Business Partner , Midmarket and RLM Marketing, Shaun Jones, "Our Business Partners are essential to our success. In 2009, our valued Business Partners delivered 25% of of the WebSphere transactional revenue. It's been my pleasure this week to meet with Business Partners from all over the world to hear their feedback on our programs, and learn how we can continue our success.' Shaun hosted the Business Partners for a special Sunday brunch and a round table meeting entitled, "Driving Growth and Delivering Value with Business Partner Marketing Resources from IBM."

The entire day of May 2nd at Impact was devoted to special workshops and meetings to help Business Partners maximize profits by doing business with IBM. The special Summit program was designed to help Buisness Partners sell and let them know what IBM will have for new offerings. New solutions and programs were announced this week to help partners fill customers' needs. Shaun notes, "We've added new Internet Marketing programs this year and Cost Buster Sales Plays to help our Business Partners create demand in a tough economy. Despite the challenges, our Business Partners continue to do more with less." Business Partners should take advantage of all the new special incentives offered to help them sell. This program recognizes Business Partners who have demonstrated excellence in delivering impressive business value solutions to our clients based on their integrations with IBM WebSphere software.
