The IBM Innovate 2010 conference got off to an energizing start with Business Partner Development Day on Sunday June 6th. A big thank you to all our Business Partners who attended the conference, and those who were not able to join us in Orlando on Sunday (but followed us on Twitter and read this blog!) This year 300+ Business Partners registered for the Business Partner Development Day exceeding all past Business Partner days to date! "It was great to see such a large number of partners," says Gary Evee, Rational Business Development. "Year over year we continue to grow the Business Partner community and the quality of our Business Partners. The Business Development Day was very well received and the feedback we heard was phenomenal. "
One of the things that made Business Partner Day so special was the line-up of IBM Executives who participated and spoke. The all star line-up included these presentations:

According to IBM Vice President - WW Business Partner , Midmarket and RLM Marketing, Shaun Jones, "Our Rational Business Partners are essential to our success. One of the best parts of my job is heading to conferences like Innovate to meet with Business Partners from all over the world to hear their feedback on our programs. In my travels and meetings, I have found the Rational Business Partner group is unique for their enthusiasm and their entrepreneurial spirit. This is a very nimble group of Business Partners."
The entire day of June 6th at Innovate was devoted to presentations from IBM Executives designed to help Business Partners maximize profits by doing business with IBM. This year's special Business Partner Development Day was designed to help Business Partners learn about new programs, products and selling techniques. Shaun notes, "We've added new Internet Marketing programs this year and Sales Plays to help our Business Partners create demand in a sluggish economy. Despite the challenges, our Business Partners continue to succeed and sell." Another highlight of the Innovate Business Partner Development Day was the announcement of the winners of the annual Rational Business Partner Awards. This program recognizes Business Partners who have demonstrated excellence in delivering impressive business value solutions to our clients based on their integration with IBM Rational software.
