Are you an IBM Business Partner? An expert on IBM solutions and services? A thought leader who serves as a mentor for peers in the technical community? If so, IBM would like to recognize your contributions through a new program: IBM Champions. The IBM Champions program is open to all non-IBMers who make outstanding contributions to the technical community, but we want to make sure that business partners are well-represented. To help you figure out whether you'd be eligible, here's a little more info on the program and how to apply.
What is the IBM Champion Program?
The IBM Champion program recognizes developers and IT professionals from outside IBM, who are thought leaders in the technical community and who make exceptional contributions to the body of knowledge around IBM solutions and services. These contributions may come in many forms, including blogging, speaking at conferences or other events, moderating forums, leading user groups, authoring literature or other efforts that mentor others. The IBM Champion program is open to experts residing in any country worldwide, and these experts will be recognized for a period of one year.

How do I become an IBM Champion?
The IBM Champion program is currently accepting nominations for Lotus, WebSphere, Tivoli and Rational software categories. The nomination period for Information Management and Business Analytics has already concluded for this year. To submit a nomination, visit the developerWorks website. Once your submission is received, your contributions over the past 12 months will be considered and evaluated by an IBM panel upon the close of the nomination period. Nominees will be notified by IBM if selected. IBM Business Partners are encouraged to apply.
