IBM Cognos TM1 is an enterprise planning software platform that can transform your entire planning cycle, from target setting and budgeting to reporting, scorecarding, analysis and forecasting.
In version 10.2 of IBM Cognos TM1, you can use a diagram to maps the flow of data from cube-to-cube in a model.
You can apply an automatic layout for your model diagram or you can set your own layout. Cubes can be grouped for ease of viewing, and you can open cubes and links from the data flow diagram.
The Show Data Flow feature cannot be used to change any structure of your model. It is used simply to provide a visual representation of the existing structure.
The following exercise shows how to create data flow diagrams that include cubes and links in a TM1 server, and how to save these diagrams so that they can be reviewed or modified later. This exercise uses a model that was built with source files that come installed with the sample TM1 data set.
This exercise is from the IBM Cognos TM1: Design and Develop Models (v10.2) five-day instructor led training course. This offering teaches modelers how to build a complete model in TM1. Through a series of lectures and hands-on exercises, you will learn how to create and customize dimensions and cubes, import and link data, and build and maintain applications.
