Run the TM1 diagnostic tool to gather IBM Cognos TM1 logs, files, and other pertinent system information which will provide assistance in resolving gather IBM Cognos TM1 issues. The tool only runs on Windows.
Use this tool to:
- quickly gather system information
- automatically gather and attach *.lic, *.log, *.ini, *.pro and other relevant files
- gather and attach files such as screen captures
Download the zip file called IBMCognos_TM1.zip from this page on www.ibm.com. Double click the execute_IBMCognosTM1.bat file.
The tool collects the following information:
- OS type and version
- Total physical memory
- IBM Cognos TM1 Processes
- Software version information for Microsoft Excel and IBM Lotus Notes
- License file
- User configuration files
- Admin server logs
- IBM Cognos TM1 Microsoft Excel service logs
- Database directory files
- IBM Cognos BI files
- Web configuration files
- User specified files
With this front end, you can select and choose the information you need, and by clicking the Save Current Settings your choices will be remembered for the next run.
