This is a first in a series of macros from Daniel Wagemann, IBM Business Analytics Proven Practice Advisor.
In this report when a user selects Camping Equipment from the prompt. The report replaces it with Mountaineering Equipment.
The report does this by replacing the category ID of a MemeberUniqueName(MUN) by starting at the end of the string represenation of the MUN using the following expression.
# substitute( '\$' , '' , prompt('ProductLine','MUN','[great_outdoors_sales_en].[Products].[Products].[Product line]->:[PC].[@MEMBER].') ) #
The expression is deconstructed as follows: The substitute replaces one string with anoher. The \[ is used to escape the square bracket within the search pattern. The $ is used to start the search from the back of the MUN.
The report uses the Great Outdoors Sales (cube) as its data source.
