In this 10.2 example the macro substitute function is used to facilitate a single MemberUniqueName(MUN) prompt value to filter two different crosstabs which use two different two different sample cubes (Great Outdoors Sale(en) and Sales and Marketing) data sources within the same package. The example uses the following macro expression:
The macro expression can be explained as follows: take the token or as is value from the prompt Year, then replace the cube and hierarchy string from one cube with another. The slashes are used to escape the square bracket and the period.
