I always look forward to attending IBM conferences, in part because they are some of the few times during the year when I have an opportunity to meet face to face with the people that I work with.
For those of you who don’t know me (I typically blog over on the IBM Software Business Partner Blog), I spend my day interacting virtually with Business Partners, so it’s always exciting to meet them “in real life”. I’m even more excited for this upcoming conference in particular, however, because it will be my first ever IBM Impact!
For Impact this year, I’m working on a pretty cool project. As a company, we’re always asking ourselves how we can deliver more business value. This mantra applies to our professional commitments, whether that is to our teammates, to our clients or in this case, to our relationship with our Business Partners. As such, my colleagues and I are holding a series of Business Partner roundtables on social media, in order to explore how people in various roles across our Business Partners organizations – marketing, sales and technical – are utilizing social media to accomplish everyday business tasks.
There’s no doubt that social media is transforming the business environment. We as IBM want to better understand how this transformation is impacting you, our Business Partners, and what IBM can do to deliver more value to you as a result. These roundtables are meant to be brainstorming sessions for us to jointly explore how we can facilitate our business relationship via social. We welcome your thoughts and ideas around your social media interactions with IBM, and look forward to hearing your feedback first-hand.
Interested in attending one of these roundtables? We’d love for you to join us! They will be taking place at scheduled times on Monday and Tues, April 29-30, between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. in the Business Partner Café, just off the Solution Center. If you are unable to attend during this time but would like to connect with me, my colleagues and I will also be available to schedule 1:1 discussions.
Looking forward to seeing you at IBM Impact!
