"It feels like 1997"...boldly asserts Jerry Cuomo, IBM Fellow and WebSphere CTO. As he says this, I picture him surrounded by a group of plaid-clad grunge musicians. (OK music buffs, the grunge trend was arguably over by then...let's not get technical.)
But that's not what he means, anyway. What he means is that we are at a familiar cultural inflection point. 1997 was the moment when the internet became more than a trend; it was a phenomenon that was reinventing every day life. And now, we are at that same inflection point with mobile.
At the IBM InterConnect conference in Singapore, Jerry sat down with our own Todd "Turbo" Watson to discuss how mobile is transforming business processes in incredible new ways. He also talks about the internet of things, big data, cloud and how all of these trends are intersecting. Watch the full interview below. Yes folks, it's 20 minutes long, but it's Jerry -- you won't be disappointed.
