Everything mobile to get your organization started or accelerate down the path to success will be shared at Impact. Watch this video blog by Dirk Nicol to get his view into what you can learn about mobile solutions at Impact 2013.
"The great thing about the Impact 2013 Conference is that there is so much to learn. From speakers discussing the latest technologies, to education sessions to help you learn about IBM’s mobile strategy, and what our customers are doing with our latest products; there is no shortage of opportunities to help attendees drive a mobile first strategy in their organizations.
Impact 2013 will provide a deep perspective on how mobile is changing people’s lives. Mobile technologies, smart phones and apps are helping people to complete tasks more efficiently. Think about new technologies and new apps around hiring a taxi. People can call a taxi on their phone then watch it come to them on a map. Mobile is making everyday tasks simpler and allowing users to get things done easily and efficiently. Technology that allows companies to engage individuals in order to help them complete their tasks more efficiently in the moment of need is very powerful. We see this happening in retail with new applications that help retailers engage people on the floor to help them better understand products and increase sales.
As we move forward, we will see technologies like mobile and biometric censors come together to more closely pinpoint where people are in a building. This knowledge could be applied to various situations like finding a friend at an airport or in a crowded building. A growing number of sensors will be implemented into mobile devices, enabling users to complete their tasks more efficiently from any location.
Another valuable emerging trend is the linking of different applications together to deliver greater value. During the course of the day one can indulge in several tasks like hiring a taxi, checking in with the airline and booking a hotel room. Different apps are required to do each separate task, but soon these apps will be linked together into one comprehensive app that performs all those tasks in a single window, providing a more streamlined user experience.
IBM is responding to the possibilities of mobile by delivering a comprehensive set of technologies, products, solutions and services to help customers approach mobile with a holistic view. We bring together solutions like mobile application development with Worklight, customer experience management analytics with Tealeaf, and mobile applications services with IBM Interactive. IBM MobileFirst solutions allow organizations to build mobile applications, to securely manage devices, and to gain insights into their mobile user base that can be gleaned in no other way."
