IMPACT 2011 Bridges the IT and Line of Business Gap

Recently I sat down with IBM Product Marketing Manager Craig Riegelhaupt to get his perspective IBM IMPACT 2011 and why he thinks
companies need to attend.
Q: Please introduce yourself.
A: My name is Craig Riegelhaupt and I'm a Product Marketing Manager here at IBM focusing on WebSphere Process Server.
Q: So why should a company come to IBM IMPACT 2011, Craig?
A: It’s all about bridging the gap between IT and the line of business. It’s also one of the largest conferences IBM holds. I'm especially excited about Day 2 where we will be featuring a lot of the new products that we've been working on.
Q: Tell me more about Day 2, please.
A: Day 2 is all about business agility. There will be over 80 different sessions, including "meet the experts" where you’ll have a chance to talk with some of the speakers at this event. There are so many different ways for you to learn more about how to implement agility within your company. I also think IMPACT is a great opportunity to interact with other IBM customers, and have them share their journey to business agility. It's going to be an exciting time, and it’s something I'm really looking forward to.
Q: Why is business agility critical to a company's success?
A: Companies need to be agile to deal with all of the complexity they are facing today, including interactions both within and outside their organization. These dynamic networks require business agility. Agile companies have higher earnings per share growth, higher ROI, and higher revenue growth. So then IMPACT all about charting your road map.
Q: What would you tell someone who's on the fence about coming to IBM IMPACT 2011?
A: I'd say, where else can you find such a mix of individuals and companies in one place that are leaders in their respective industries, and learn about these brand new products we're announcing that could help you achieve that growth that I spoke about earlier.
