Nice article. It would be interesting to see a breakdown of what the 'Important Issues' categories actually mean in the survey question that was posed or in the interpretation of the respondents. Superficially, the first three issues (safety, compliance and satisfaction) seem to have a common driver of CMS rules for penalties (e.g. preventable readmissions, patient satisfaction scores, etc). The next five (patient access, cost control, health analytics, HIEs and quality measures) seem to be driven by ACA rules and the new healthcare environment favoring efficient ACOs and a focus on preventive and outpatient care. Very informative article. Thanks for posting.
