Have you started your Beacon Award nomination for you company yet? Remember, award wins area great way to market your organization and solutions via press releases and co-marketing. There's nothing like a little marketplace buzz to bring attention to your company and its innovations. So, don't forget to take a good look at the Beacon Award for Outstanding Innovative Collaboration Solution Award sponsored by Lotus Software. If you're a Lotus Business Partner, you want to make sure that you are working on a nomination in this category of achievement.. As a former IBM Business Partner, I worked on my Beacon Award nominations every year to get them in. Winning an award was always worth the time to fill out the forms and talk to clients about references. A Beacon Award win brings immeasurable marketplace recognition and awareness.
Here's the 411 on the award for the Outstanding Innovation Collaboration Solution. This category recognizes a solution that most effectively aligns with the Smart Work theme and leverages part or all of the IBM Lotus portfolio, including IBM Lotus Notes and Domino, Lotus Sametime (including Unified Collaboration and Communications) Lotus Quickr™, Lotus Forms, Lotus Connections (our social networking offering), IBM LotusLive (our SaaS offering), IBM Lotus Foundations, IBM WebSphere Portal and IBM Mashup Center.
Solutions to consider need to be designed to make people more productive in the context of what they do -- everyday. These solutions empower people and organizations to Connect, Collaborate and Innovate to take full advantage of their collective knowledge in the context of business processes, thus helping them achieve better business outcomes.
The winning solution in this category must illustrate how Lotus offerings (including IBM WebSphere Portal) integrate the human element into business processes to drive better business agility and outcomes. For consideration, the solution must be deployed at a customer site and demonstrate clear Return On Investment (ROI). Special consideration will be given to solutions that drive quantifiable improvements in business performance, those that have enabled a competitive win, and/or those that leverage Web 2.0 capabilities.Look at the award nomination criteria to see if this award is a good fit for you. You need a minimum of 1 (maximum of 3) client references required to nominate.
