Hoover's is a very valuable tool to have in your marketing and sales kit. Using Hoover's, you can find the right contacts at a prospect company to sell to, write a letter to or call on the phone. As a former IBM Business Partner, I used Hoovers to make-up marketing lists. Plus, I always did Google and Hoover's searches before having meetings with prospects. A prospect is always impressed when you take the time to learn about their business and can tell them how the tools that you offer can be of help to them in specific things they are doing.
Internet Lead Generator
The Internet Lead Generator tool is designed to help IBM Business Partners build a Web-based lead capture "back end" for their e-mail and direct mail campaigns. The tool can be an effective complement to IBM’s popular Campaign Designer tool, which enables Business Partners to build marketing materials using IBM templates for their co-marketing campaigns. In addition to letting Business Partners build the Web landing page and registration form for the campaign, the Internet Lead Generator (ILG) tool sends automatic "thank-you" fulfillment e-mails when prospects register for offers, and automatically notifies the Business Partner with prospect information. Users can either take advantage of pre-loaded IBM campaigns or build their own custom tactics. This is a comprehensive turn-key package is designed to help Business Partners to accelerate their Internet demand generation campaigns. ILG joins the arsenal of Web marketing tools IBM already provides, such as Web content syndication, search engine optimization, Web conferencing and telemarketing support, plus online syndicated news.
