Business Partners are Invited to Attend IBM's Social Networking Summit June 17 in New York
If you're like me, you're looking for new ways to expand your marketing reach and share of voice in the new economy. We're all looking for ways to do more with less. After all less is the new more. One of the most cost-effective ways to get your marketing message out is via the use of the many new Social Media Marketing tools now available to all of us is via the magic of the Internet.
So, what are some of these new tools? Well, for starters, I am talking about Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIN. I manage a variety of IBM Business Partner communiities on these social networking sites and I find it a great way to reach our valued partners around the world. To give you an idea just how effective these tools can be, in the last 24 hrs, we've gained over 300 web registrations to a business partner webcast via invites placed onto our various social networks. So, clearly these tools can be quite effective and a great way to do zero-budget marketing.
As many of our Business Partners are new to Social Media, IBM is offering a new educational summit this June, to help them learn how to use these tools effectively. On June 17, in Yorktown Heights, NY, IBM Research will be presenting it's first Social Marketing Summit. All of our Business Partners around the globe are invited to attend. You are invited to attend either in person, or virtually. Click here to register.
Here's a sampling of items that will be addressed at the Summit:
Beyond the use of the social networking tools, one of the conference benefits will be the face to face networking attendees will enjoy with the global community of IBMers, clients, Business Partners and marketing peers from other firms who will attend the Summit. This will be a casual and friendly forum to discuss your ideas and thoughts about best practices. So check this conference out today on the web, and see what you think. We hope to see you there!
