The following of the "lost" Malaysian Airline 777 is now being tackled by Big data and Old Fashion analytics. One of the largest GeoDesic companies in the world, Digital Globe Inc, has sent out an open invitation to have groups of everyday people help review millions of images. The images are of millions of square miles of ocean taken after the disappearance of the Airlines. Digital Globe is maintaining these images on spinning storage to allow multiple reviews of the data by the reviewers at the same time. This is causing some issues with bandwidth at the website, but Digital Globe is working to get this worked out.
