IBM Content Capacity Planner Tool now Available
Performance analysis and benchmark data collected in-house make it possible to model a customer’s transaction workload and to project the P8, CM8, and OnDemand service demands from that workload. IBM Content Capacity Planner is primarily used to size the CPU, but also calculates network, Optical drive, and OSAR/MSAR demand. Once a system configuration is chosen, the tool applies the defined workload demands to the configuration and produces charts showing the daily projected utilization.
The ICC Planner tool is used in a pre-sales situation to determine the quantity and models of servers to advise for a given workload. It can also be used in a post sales situation for upgrading systems and adding on to existing systems. In that scenario, the existing system's utilization can be characterized in a baseline sheet, which can then be viewed on upgraded hardware and/or with additional new application demands.
IBM ECM authorized business partners can request access to the tool from the Enterprise Content Management Resources site on Partnerworld.
