Broadcast Date: December 1, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, 4:00 p.m. GMT / UTCCurrent IBM® Tivoli® OMEGAMON® users know that an ISPF-based configuration tool called ICAT (IBM Configuration Assistance Tool) is supplied to assist with implementation on OMEGAMON. Many users have challenges configuring OMEGAMON software because ICATis unlike the configuration method used by other IBM products.
A new "PARMLIB" method of OMEGAMON configuration, an alternative to the traditional ICAT method of installation and configuration is being introduced in several phases to support OMEGAMON. For new OMEGAMON customers, the PARMLIB method is more suitable since the parameter values are entered in a user available system dataset (or user PARMLIB dataset).
This new PARMLIB approach provides significantly enhanced usability and improved productivity and availability for IT operations. Join us for this teleconference and you’ll hear Cecilia Day, Tivoli developer, discuss the latest enhancements with the PARMLIB tool.
