Did you attend IBM Pulse 2010? Are you still thinking that you wanted to attend more sessions, activities, get more insight into the future of IBM Asset Management? Or did you miss the event but wish that you could get more of the highlights from the event?
Never fear, I'm here to help!
The first of a group of videos highlighting speakers providing experience with IBM Maximo Asset Management and insight into the future of the asset management market is now available. And what a video to get things started!
In this video Clay Nesler, of Johnson Controls, Inc (JCI) discusses how IBM asset management solutions enabled them to bring smart building solutions to the commercial and institutional marketplace. With IBM Maximo, the complete end-to-end solution, JCI has been able to address the instrumentation of buildings and the interconnection of that information and technical systems to reduce energy use, improve productivity and reduce costs.
Mr. Nessler points out the following benefits of a smarter building approach:
And once you scale up efforts to buildings, then cities become just an enterprise of smart buildings, and you can see the potential for savings across the entire networking grid. This is the direction that our planet needs to go in for saving natural resources as well as reducing costs........it just makes sense.
