Today's blog is from Terry Ray.
As many of you know, IBM launched its Health, Safety and Environment Manager solution late last year and already we have had a number of companies purchase the solution to address a number of key business challenges, ranging from Incident Management; Management of Change; Operating Policy, Logs and Procedures; After Action Reviews; Risk Assessment and Risk Matrix; etc.
As we continue to build out our solution we are mindful of the role of human factors. Did you know that approximately 60% of all incidents are attributable to human factors and that approximately 80% will have a cause related to human performance? These are staggering statistics and illustrate why companies are so focused on and committed to improving safety culture and safety climate. Companies are focused on the role of leadership, effective communication, workforce engagement, continuous learning, and culture.
IBM’s Health, Safety and Environment solution covers the critical business processes such as: Operations, Asset & Work Management, Control of Work, Investigation & Improvements, Change Management, Compliance, and Knowledge Management. Companies understand how a comprehensive Health, Safety and Environment solution can become the common thread between production, safety and quality.
Until next time, stay ‘safe’ as you begin your journey to address several new key industry challenges.
