What a day! With 8 IBM Maximo Asset Management User Group sessions it was hard to decide where I wanted to spend the afternoon.
Since I focus on the Transportation Industry, I decided that I really wanted to learn more about the Maximo Airport User Group so that's where I went. With about 50 people in attendance we heard from the British Airport Authority, who described their responsibility for the management of 53 MILLION bags a year using IBM Maximo Asset Management. How daunting is that!
Next, Denver International Airport discussed fleet maintenance and how Maximo helps them with fuel dispensing, preventive maintenance, etc. The final presentation was by the Port of Seattle who shared their success with Maximo and provided their advice to focus on optimizing predictive maintenance programs.......success moving forward depends on it!
The afternoon closed with McCarran International Airport the outgoing chairman of the group passing the baton to Denver International Airport who will take over as the new chair. We look forward to continued growth in this User Group.
