The technology is here. The people are ready. The time is now.
We've heard a lot about IBM doing a lot for smarter buildings, but did you know that we are also heavily engaged with making the oil & gas industry smarter by driving more efficient operations?
Thanks in large part to the IBM Maximo Asset Management industry solution for Oil & Gas, the industry vision for "digital oil fields" and "refineries of the future" is becoming a reality. Advances have been made in controls and sensor technology that allow more data to be captured to make assets smart. In addition, the evolution and maturity of industry standards, largely influenced by IBM, has helped to transform intelligent asset data that can in turn be provided to enterprise applications to allow the business, operations, engineering and maintenance to make better decisions faster.
This session will be focused on the value of your time and enable you to hear in 1 hour how the smart enterprise asset management strategy can enable you to extend asset life, maximize ROA and increase equipment up-time and output quality..........all with real IBM Maximo Asset Management examples.
Bill Ely, will be the key note speaker at the event and is an active member of the IBM Asset Management community. He also leads the Maximo Oil & Gas User Group.
Recently at IBM Pulse 2010 I was able to interview Bill about the User Group meeting at Pulse. Check out what he had to say:
