How complex can an aircraft be? You might say it has a body, wings and two engines to make it fly. In this day in age the mass public takes for granted what has happened in the past 100 years of aircraft development. Taking for granted may not be the correct statement but more direct might be the lack of understanding and teaching of what has happened. I challenge you to search the Internet sometime “how much a 747 weighs at take off” and you will be blown away if you think about what it takes to lift that weight.

With engines, and airframe components having life limits it is paramount that the airline understand the condition, the life, the history of every sterilized component on the aircraft they own. The Maximo ACM solution provides this level of component history. Also to run an airline there are many other areas of business that need solutions to help keep the aircraft in the air and in a safe configuration. One area is assessing the effectivity of Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Bulletins and Engineering changes by OEMs. The Maximo ACM Tech Records application is used to streamline and help you understand the effectivity that these technical documents might have on your organization. It has been a very time consuming situation to determine the effectivity of an OEM document, causing thousands of man hours and at times aircraft groundings. There are many other Modules in the Maximo ACM solution that streamline the aircraft industry, please reach out to me for a better understanding of how the Maximo ACM solution can help your potential clients.
