InterConnect 2012 is now underway and over 2500 attendees from 52 countries are participating in the 10 Hot Topics.
IBM's Smarter Infrastructure (Maximo + TRIRIGA) will be highlighted in 2 of the Hot Topics:
Refer back to our prior blog for a deeper dive into the Smarter Infrastructure content.
Highlights from Day 1:
Maximo was well represented on main stage on Day 1 with Neil Roberts, CIO of Yarra Trams in Melbourne, explaining in an lively presentation about the central role Maximo is playing in the major changes in their organization around maintenance of their trams and rail infrastructure.
Highlights from Day 2:
Maximo was mentioned in detail by Gordon Bruce - CIO of the City & County of Honolulu,(also on main stage as part of a panel with 3 other customers, led by Bob Picciano, IBM SVP Software) where he talked about the Honolulu being US 1st digitized city and Maximo playing a part in the execution of work orders issued by the different departments as part of the Smarter City approach.
For Transforming Critical Business Processes, the introduction by Marie Wieck (IBM GM for AIM) included several good examples of value provided by Maximo ...(video of ADWEA, clip of City of RIO and some other short value statements linked to Maximo). This Hot Topic session was well attended by more than 300 people (best attendance compared with other hot topic sessions!)
