Today's blog comes from Terry Ray.
In July’s blog, I noted that health, safety and environmental (HSE) needs are one of the most important objectives of asset intensive businesses. In order to help these companies exceed their objectives, IBM Maximo released its newest solution – Maximo Health, Safety and Environment Manager on September 2, 2011.
The newest Maximo solution has an extensive array of capabilities that focuses on several key business processes or activities such as: Operations, Asset & Work Management, Control of Work, Investigations & Improvement, Change Management, Compliance, and Knowledge Management. The specific solution capabilities are: Incidents, Investigations, Management of Change, Non-conformance Management, Regulatory Compliance, Operating Procedures, Operating Policy, Risk Assessment, Risk Matrix, Improvements, Competency Management, Operators Log, Personnel Certification Tracking, Action Tracking, Benefits & Losses, Failure Reporting, Solutions and Defect Elimination.
As you can see, the capabilities are vast and several companies have implemented the solution to address: Safety & Compliance, Smart Initiatives, Problem Identification & Resolution, Quality Initiatives, and International Standards such as 14001 and 18001.
Maximo Asset Management has a long and successful tradition of helping companies meet their asset & work management needs. The new Health, Safety and Environment capabilities extends the Maximo footprint across the enterprise and the solution will become the common thread between production, quality and safety.
Until next time, stay healthy, safe, and enjoy the environment………………..
