Roving reporter Rob Bloom continues to keep us informed of the highlights of the TRIRIGA User Group conference......
Day 2 highlights were many. A series of excellent workshops kick started the day before General Session where a technology review and plan were delivered by TRIRIGA and IBM. Some key takeaways focused on how IBM has increased development resources and for the first time translated versions will be delivered. These include French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Italian ------ all for this quarter.
One area of special emphasis was the pending changes to global lease accounting rules which will place a huge burden on financial reporting for public companies. 1.3 trillion new assets to the balance sheet. Not just R.E. leases.........but fleet, equipment, infrastructure, and software. This is a top priority for CFO's and TRIRIGA is addressing this now.
Also greatly appreciated that Maximo client Clark County School District presented on "Using Maximo for Data Driven Decisions in the Nation's Fifth Largest School District" providing a pure customer view of the power and impact of EAM to the TRIRIGA audience.
