One look at the CFI website and you get the sense of adventure……..race cars! You will also see that CFI has 21 years of experience with real estate and facilities management solutions including integrated workplace management systems (IWMS). And the reason I’m talking to Bob today is because he is one of many in the industry who was excited about the TRIRIGA acquisition and the combined value of TRIRIGA with IBM, having been involved with both solutions.
With approximately 1.5B square feet of TRIRIGA implementations at various household name clients, CFI looks forward to the future possibilities of a combined IBM Maximo Asset Management and TRIRIGA solution, especially targeting smarter building requirements. The integration of IWMS, for the width and consolidation of tools, with enterprise asset management (EAM), for the depth, will enable companies to more effectively support their global enterprises. Add to this IBM’s vast support infrastructure and integration capabilities with business intelligence tools and dashboards from IBM Cognos and the automation possibilities for smarter buildings expand vastly. We should totally be able to program the system so that my IBM office will always maintain a comfortable temperature and not be impacted by air conditioner outages ever again!
Bob explains that the combination of IWMS & EAM will enable production lines and mission critical data centers to optimize up-time and facility efficiencies. As the IBM solution ties the comprehensive maintenance work order infrastructure for building operations, along with the industry modules from Maximo; to the real estate and space management capabilities from TRIRIGA, clients will have a more robust solution from a single vendor. Adventuresome as NASA contracts with Richard Branson’s Virgin Galatic? Not at all because effective real estate solutions usually combine IWMS with EAM solutions, but it’s a rare find to have both coming from the same company.
In addition, the IBM solution enables clients to focus on sustainability by putting in place tools that will not just monitor and measure, but also automatically take action. And when you’re focused on energy, green and LEED management initiatives to become more efficient and sustainable, automation is a basic requirement.
