Today's blog comes from Rob Bloom.
Two significant product announcements, Maximo 7.5 and IBM Intelligent Building Management, were announced in Q2.
The combined Spring Maximo Utility Working Group (MUWG) and Maximo Supply Chain User Group hosted by Duke Power May 9-11 provided Maximo 7.5 exposure to over 300 attendees from 85 organizations. IBM was well represented at the meeting to speak about the numerous work and asset management enhancements that were driven by our clients. In addition, several key EAM analysts were briefed in advance of the release and the product was extremely well received.
The product momentum continued on June 9th with the launch of Intelligent Building Management (IIBM). The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City provided the perfect backdrop to showcase how IBM can help organizations manage energy, operations, and space and achieve higher levels of cost savings, operational efficiency, reliability, and sustainability. The agenda was powerful with Tulane University and Consolidated Edison of NY presenting, and clients, partners, press, and analyst were given an introduction to IIBM by Dave Bartlett, Vice President, Industry Solutions who led a tremendously engaging discussion on “Listening to our Buildings.” The event concluded with a series of networking workshops that provided IBM subject matter experts the opportunity to reinforce our leadership position in Smarter Buildings with IIBM, Maximo, and TRIRIGA. IBM now has leadership positions in two markets; EAM with Maximo and Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS) with TRIRIGA
As you can see, we have a great deal of momentum in the marketplace and as always, appreciate your feedback on the value of our solutions to the marketplace.
