Congratulations are in order for our customer, CEMEX, who won a Forrester Groundswell Award for their Shift collaboration platform based on Lotus Connections. And one of the best reports that I saw describing the award was on the WSJ MarketWatch site. Here's a quote from the Chairman and CEO from that article (emphasis is mine):
"With Shift, we continue to empower our employees by promoting engagement and collaboration beyond traditional roles and titles, allowing the best ideas to resonate company-wide and effect real change." - Lorenzo H. Zambrano, CEMEX Chairman and CEO
And when I checked this morning, the stock price of CEMEX is on the rise since the announcement on Monday! Real change translates into real value for the business. What a great example of the business value of investing in social software to drive productivity and innovation in the workplace. And all achieved within the first year of deployment.
In addition, our very own developerWorks implementation of Lotus Connections also won a Forrester Groundswell award!. And IBM stock is also on the rise. Check out the LotusKnow blog for more details on these great awards.
