Constructing a relational query step by step

To construct a query step by step without directly entering a SQL statement, use the Simple View tab in the administration console.

You can also optionally view the constructed SQL statement in the SQL View tab.

Restriction: The Simple View tab provides the means for building relational queries only. To construct a content-based retrieval (CBR) query, use the SQL View tab.

Procedure

To construct a query:

Access the search node in the administration console:
1. In the domain navigation pane, click the object store.
2. In the object store navigation pane, click Search.
On the Search tab, click New.
On the New Search tab, click the Simple View subtab.
Enter values for the query properties.
To run the query, click Run.
