MA99: Grail Software Solutions Chat
This is a set of Eclipse features which can be used to enable real-time conversations between the administrator and end-users of applications and systems using an IBM WebSphere MQ
GSS Chat can be enabled on an IBM WebSphere MQ queue manager by an administrator to allow real-time conversations between the end-users users of applications and systems using that queue manager (Chat Users), and between the Chat Administrator and Chat Users. The GSS Chat Administrator has the ability to create, edit and delete Chat Users, and aggregate them into one or more groups (Chat Groups).
Each Chat User has an electronic noticeboard, onto which the Chat Administrator can post electronic notices (Chat Notices). These Chat Notices can be issued to all Chat Users, or to all the Chat Users in a particular Chat Group. The GSS Chat Administrator has the ability to create, edit and delete Chat Notices.
Allow real-time conversations between end-users of applications and systems using an IBM WebSphere MQ infrastructure, and between end-users and the administrator, for example to request assistance.
Allow an administrator to post information that can be seen by different groups of end-users, such as users of different applications, for example about planned system outages.
Skill Level Required
• Familiarity with Eclipse, managing features and plugins.
• Basic knowledge of WMQ queues and topics.
• Ability to install and run programs as directed.

• Set availability to ‘Do No Disturb’ to prevent other Chat Users from chatting with you.
• Added support for Eclipse™ version 4.2.2 (Chat Client version).
• Added ‘Contact Us…’ menu item to show the GSS Contact Us web page in the default browser.
