==============================================================================

This section steps you through the process of installing the files of this
fix pack. The steps must be followed in the order that is presented here.

Minimum disk space requirements:
--------------------------------

Administrative server (Windows): 300 MB

Management server (AIX):
/usr - about 600 MB
/tmp - about 300 MB
/home - about 30 MB
/opt - about 25 MB

NOTE: It is recommended that you provide at least 20% more space than the
minimum requirements shown above.

Before you start the installation:
----------------------------------

- Before you begin the installation, review the section on "Known Defects or
Limitations, Special Notes" in this Readme file to learn about known
unsupported scenarios and unresolved restrictions.

Pre-Installation Tasks:
-----------------------

1) If you have enabled TUAM CSR file generation on your system, do the
following steps before applying Fix Pack 3:

a) Deactivate the escalation named PMZHBCRDPMD to generate CSR file data:
i) Select System Configuration -> Platform Configuration -> Escalations,
then find the PMZHBCRDPMD escalation and open it.
ii) Select Action -> Activate/Deactivate Escalation

2) Ensure that the middleware servers (for example, database and LDAP) are
running and that the MXServer application server is shut down.

3) Back up your database.

Preparing for Installation:
----------------------------

1) Updating IP address, host name, or password

When you install a fix pack or a new product, the installation program will
use the host names and passwords stored in the database and the
maximo.properties file. If they do not match your environment, the
installation will fail.

If you have changed the IP address, host name, or password of your database
server or other servers, you must make the appropriate changes on the
Administrative server.

Use the instructions in the following tech note to make the appropriate
changes before installing.
http://www.ibm.com/support/search.wss?q1=updateserverprops

2) Before installing this fix pack, configuration changes should be
applied to the Maximo database. Details can be found in the
Service Request Manager 7.1 Installation Guide in the topic titled
"Applying changes to the database".

3) In order to confirm that all changes have been committed, run the
following SQL query against the Maximo database.

SELECT count (*) from maxobjectcfg where changed != 'N'

If any entries are returned with a value of '0' instead of 'N', you will
have to go back to step 2 and apply the changes.

4) Drop any temporary tables that are left in the Maximo database. Use the
following command to determine if there are any temporary tables:

DB2
SELECT count (*) from sysibm.systables where name like 'XX%'
and creator = 'MAXIMO'

If any tables are listed, perform the following steps to drop them.

a) Log into the WebSphere administrative console and stop the MXServer
server.

b) Run the following commands on the Administrative system.
1) cd <base_services_install_dir>\maximo\tools\maximo
2) configdb
3) restorefrombackup
4) dropbackup
5) dropbackup
Note that you are running the dropbackup command twice.

c) Restart the MXServer application server

5) Unpack the file you downloaded, 7.2.1-TIV-TSAM-FP0003.zip or
7.2.1-TIV-TSAM-FP0003.tar, into a temporary directory on the
administrative server.
For a Windows system, for example, C:\temp
For a Linux system, for example, /tmp

Use the checksum information provided in Checksum Information to
confirm the download was not corrupted.

6) Untar the file you downloaded, 7.2.1-TIV-TSAM-FP0003.tar, into a
temporary directory on the management server.
For example, /tmp

Use the checksum information provided in Checksum Information to
confirm the download was not corrupted.

7) To disable the REST MBO support please update the following file on your admin node:
(Windows) C:\IBM\SMP\maximo\applications\maximo\maxrestweb\webmodule\WEB-INF\web.xml
(Unix) /opt/IBM/SMP/maximo/applications/maximo/maxrestweb/webmodule/WEB-INF/web.xml

Remove the following section from the file:
<init-param>
<param-name>handler.mbo</param-name>
<param-value>com.ibm.tivoli.maximo.rest.MboResourceRequestHandler</param-value>
</init-param>

Upgrading from Tivoli Service Automation Manager Version 7.2.1, 7.2.1.1, or 7.2.1.2 to 7.2.1.3
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) Download the Tivoli Provisioning Manager 7.2 fixpack 1

2) Install the fixpack according to the README delivered with it.

3) On the management server, start all middleware.
1. Ensure that the middleware (including DB2, LDAP, IHS, and WAS) and
base services are running.
2. Ensure that Tivoli Provisioning Manager deployment engine is stopped.
As tioadmin, run the following command: $TIO_HOME/tools/tio.sh stop -t

Note: This is the starting point for every step of this upgrade scenario.
If you follow this scenario step by step, all processes are always in
the correct state. In case you need to interrupt the scenario, for example,
to reboot one of your systems, please make sure to restart all processes
exactly as described above.

4) From the administrative server, launch the Process Solution Installer
(C:\IBM\SMP\bin\solutionInstallerGUI.bat or
/opt/IBM/SMP/bin/solutionInstallerGUI.sh).

5) Select a language for the installation and click OK.

6) From the "Introduction" panel, click Next.

Continue with the panels displayed by the Solution Installer.
When prompted for the package to install, choose

<temp>/install/PMP/tsam_pmp_7.2.1.3.zip

where <temp> is the directory where you unpacked the fixpack package.

7) On the management server, log in as root and run script
<temp>/install/tools/updateFiles.sh

where <temp> is the directory where you unpacked the fixpack package.

When prompted, enter the Tivoli Provisioning Manager administrator user ID (e.g. tioadmin)
and the WebSphere Administration Server cell name (e.g. ctgCell01).

8) Make sure that Tivoli Provisioning Manager is stopped before you proceed.
On the management server, log in as TIO administrative user (for example: tioadmin)
and run the following command:
$TIO_HOME/tools/tio.sh stop <wasadmin user> <wasadmin pw>
where <wasadmin_user> is the WebSphere Application Server administrative user ID
<wasadmin_pw> is the password for the administrative user

Verify that the script did not return any errors and that Tivoli Provisioning Manager is completely stopped.

9) On the management server, log in as root and run script
<temp>/install/tools/installAutomationPackages.sh

where <temp> is the directory where you unpacked the fix pack package.

When prompted, enter the Tivoli Provisioning Manager administrator user ID (e.g. tioadmin).

10) On the management server, log in as root and run the following command:
. <was_home>/profiles/<was_profile_name>/bin/setupCmdLine.sh
where <was_home> is the directory where your WebSphere Application
Server is installed
<was_profile_name> is the WebSphere Application Server profile of the
Maximo application server (typically MXServer)
Ensure you use the leading "." for the command above.

Then run script <temp>/install/postinstall/configureTSAMfixpack.sh
where <temp> is the directory where you unpacked the fix pack package.

When prompted, enter the WAS administrative user (e.g. wasadmin) and the
password.

11) After upgrading Tivoli Service Automation Manager to version 7.2.1.3 some input fields
of existing Cloud Pool instances might be grayed out. These pool instances must be converted
in order to be compatible to the new product version, which unlocks the blocked input fields.

Perform the following steps on the management server:

Logon to the management server as user root
Execute the command sequence:

su - ctginst1
db2 connect to maxdb71
db2 set schema maximo
db2 "update PMRDPVRP set DUALVIO_MODE=0 where NAME='<cloud pool name to be converted>'"
db2 "update PMRDPVRP set SMI_UNLIMITED_IMAGES=1 where NAME='<cloud pool name to be converted>'"
db2 "update PMRDPVRP set SMI_BLOCKIPADDRESSONEXIT=1 where NAME='<cloud pool name to be converted>'"
db2 commit

After that, restart TIO.
These steps upgrade existing cloud pool instances and unlock the DUALVIO_MODE, SMI_UNLIMITED_IMAGES
and SMI_BLOCKIPADDRESSONEXIT configuration items.

12) Upgrade of existing Service Definitions and Service Deployment Instances:
NOTE: Only execute this step when you install this Fix Pack directly on the TSAM 7.2.1.0 GA release.

7. Known Defects or Limitations, Special Notes
==============================================================================

Note:
Refer to the Tivoli Service Automation Manager Release Notes for a general
list of known errors and limitations.

Note to customers using IBM Systems Director VMControl as virtualization technology:
We strongly suggest to run IBM Systems Director VMControl in an english-only environment.

Deficiencies:
The following deficiencies have been observed on selected non-English systems:

1. Problems have been reported with the Process Solution Installer (PSI)
on administrative servers running Windows Vista. Installation of this fix
pack may be affected. Use of Windows Vista in this case is discouraged.

2. A small number of data strings and messages remain untranslated.

3. First and last names should be reversed for Asian countries (PHYP1541TPY)

For Asian countries, the customary order is last name, first name.
The SimpleSRM UI uses separate input fields, but the input field for
"first name" is always displayed before the input field for "last name".

4. In order to provision russian, spanish, italian, or french Windows 2008 R2
or Windows 7 virtual images, do the following (PT721605WSF):

If the built-in "Administrator" user and "Administrators" Group in non-english
Windows image templates is localized then rename them to english "Administrator" user
and "Administrators" (languages affected: Russian, French, Italian, Spanish and a
couple of others). Add the localized "Administrator" user and "Administrators " group
to the template back and make this localized user also part of english Administrator group.
Copy the endpoint_keys file from TSAM management server (i.e present in /home/tioadmin/
endpoint_keys) to the c:/temp folder created on the template.
Add a new template parameter "endpoint-keys-present" and give it value "true" in the
discovered software stack of the image template:
1. Click Go To -> IT Infrastructure -> Software Catalog -> Software Stacks
2. Select the VMware template from the list, for example, MyVMwareTemplate
3. Select this default template definition to display the details.
4. In the Template Parameters section, add a new parameter named endpoint-keys-present.
5. Assign the value "true" in the Value field.

5. If you want to use Tivoli Process Automation Engine version 7.1.1.7, you need to apply
the interim fix 7.2.1.0-TIV-SRM-LA0001.zip after installing Tivoli Process Automation Engine 7.1.1.7.
Obtain the fix from IBM Service and follow the instructions in the readme provided with this fix.

6. In case of multiple subnetworks, set the variable on the subnetwork PMRDP.Net.HostNamePrefix
on the subnetwork that are used for host name resolution that is set on the resource pool
by the parameter PMRDP.Net.HostNameResolveNIC.

For subnetworks that are not used for host name resolution, do not set or define this variable.

7. Additional discrepancies will be addressed in upcoming product fixpacks.
