    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    Normally, user classes are not required on the container
    server when using the COPY_TO_BYTES copy mode. However, when
    you use optimistic locking in its default mode, the container
    server must deserialize the object from its byte array to
    invoke the equals() method. This requires that the user class
    file be loadable by the container server.
    You can also choose to use the built-in
    NoVersioningOptimisticCallback plug-in or a custom serializer
    plug-in to avoid loading the user class on the container
    server. Likewise, switching the locking mode to something
    other than optimistic locking prevents this problem.

Problem conclusion

  • When you encounter this problem, the container server provides
    a more useful error message, and the infocenter
    documentation has been updated to further describe this
    situation.
