Error description
Software scan fails with core dumps. Found cause is volume of data returned by CIT wscansw scan. Need to have method for excluding directories in TLCM. Found correct method to exclude directories was delivered and documented in TLCM-2.2 fixpack03. The option is scan_exclude_dirs=dir1;dir2;dir3 The information for usage listed in the fixpack readme states: . Capability to exclude agent directories from being scanned The fix pack introduces the possibility to exclude some directories from being scanned on an agent. This option is enabled by including a configuration parameter in the file tlmagent.ini. . To enable the option do the following: 1. Stop the agent by using the command tlmagent -e. 2. Edit the file tlmagent.ini to include the parameter scan_exclude_dirs. As parameter value, write the path of the directory that you want to exclude from the scan. The format of the path must be UTF 8. If you want to exclude more than one directory, include their paths separated by semicolon (;). Wildcard is supported, but only when used as a delimiter (for example, */folder/). 3. Restart the agent by using the command tlmagent -g. . This information needs to be included in the TLCM documentation manuals.
