Error description

  • The Websphere administrtor username stored in the WAS_USERNAME
variable should be configurable. In the ITCAM for Websphere
plugin the Business Process Management software always uses the
    virtuser username.

Local fix

  • Do not change the Websphere administrator username. Use
    the default virtuser username.

Problem summary

  • The Business Process Management (BPM) software allows for the
WebSphere administrative username to be changed from virtuser.
    This should work without issue.

Problem conclusion

  • The ITCAM for WebSphere plugin code has been upgraded to check
for BPM software and then set the WAS_USERNAME to the
administrative username that has been configured.
