Error description

  • Applying maintenance to a WebSphere Application Server
v8.0.0.6 virtual machine to upgrade it to v8.0.0.7 failed
due to the ability to skip stopping services that was added in
PureApplication System v1.1.0.2 interim fix 1.

Problem summary


    

  • Code was added to support installing a maintenance fix that does
not require all services to be restarted on the virtual machine.
This broke a known maintenance scenario.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • An additional check was implemented to verify whether a service
restart is required on the virtual machine.
