IT08505: PUREAPPLICATION SYSTEM: DB2 PATTERN IS NOT REGISTERING WITH THE DATABASE MONITORING SHARED SERVICE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The user noticed that a DB2 virtual machine (VM) deployment did
  not register with the Database Monitoring shared service. The VM
  status went into the SAFERUNNING state.
  
  Review of the 0config log showed the following initialization
  error:

    did_key_file = os.path.join(node['scriptdir'],"dkey","enckey")
  NameError: global name 'node' is not defined
  current locale: ('en_US', 'UTF8')
  

Local fix

• The fix for this problem is in the Database Monitoring (OPM)
  pattern type version 1.2.0.1. Customer needed to upgrade the
  PureApplication System to version 2.0.0.1 and the pattern
  type to 1.2.0.1.
  

Problem summary

• There was missing encryption and decryption support for node
  parts in the underlying pattern support.
  

Problem conclusion

• A code fix has been provided in PureApplication System version
  2.0.0.1 with the Database Monitoring shared service version
  1.2.0.1.
